August Kidsville at the Parthenon

Join us for Kidsville at the Parthenon each Saturday from 11-11:45 AM in August. Families with children ages 12 and under can enter the Parthenon for free on these dates and times. A Kidsville team member will be taking registrations at the entrance of the Parthenon beginning at 10:30 AM. We will be located upstairs in Parthenon's Naos room that houses Athena.

AUGUST ACTIVITIES

August  7 - Explore a beloved story book with our friends from Imagination Library. After reading the story, create your own craft inspired by the book.

August 14 - Learn about the mathematical wonders of the Antikythera Mechanism, a device found on the ocean floor that may be the first computer. Then make your own art inspired by the mechanism.

August 21 - Dive into the Greek Myth of Pandora and a jar full of surprises! After exploring the Greek myth, create your own jar art.

August 28 - Join Kidsville for a special Soul/Sky dance performance with guided movement led by dance educator, Thea Jones of Shackled Feet Dance. After we move our bodies, make sure to take home an activity kit to create your own wire sculpture inspired by the dance.
