Kidsville at the Parthenon

Join us each Saturday at the Parthenon for storytelling, arts & crafts, music and special guests. Free Parthenon admission included for the whole family! Registration is required.
Families with children ages 12 and under can register in the lobby beginning at 10:30 AM, and children will immediately be able to participate in activity & craft stations.
Weekly storytelling or special guest programming will begin promptly at 11 AM in front of Athena.

March 2025 Dates:
March 1: Come for an exploration of Dolly Parton’s book, I Am A Rainbow with Imagination Library, then make art inspired by the book.
March 8: Is there a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow? Join us in an exploration of a folktale that many cultures tell about money saved in pots. Then, make a rainbow penny spinner inspired by the story.
March 15: Come hear the Greek myth about seasons and the 6 Pomegranate seeds eaten by Persephone, then plant your own seeds for a spring garden.
March 22: Come explore how new music can expand our minds and ears with Intersection Music Group, Nashville's contemporary classical music ensemble, then make art inspired by the music.
March 29: Come hear about the Greek myth of Sisyphus and his never ending workout, then make art inspired by the story.
Full Activity Schedule:
10:30 - 11:20 AM: Free entry to Parthenon for Kidsville
10:30 AM - Kidsville activity stations open for play.
11:00 AM - Storytime or special guest programming in front of the statue of Athena.
11:45 AM - Kidsville activity stations close.
What to Expect:
Activity Stations: Explore hands-on activities between 10:30 AM and 11:45 AM. Let your kids dive into fun and discovery at their own pace.
Storytime: Gather in front of the Athena statue at 11:00 AM for storytime and an arts and crafts activity inspired by the book. We usually wrap up by 11:30 AM.
Important Info for Parents:
Arrival Time: Come between 10:30 AM and 11:20 AM to receive free Parthenon admission for everyone attending Kidsville. The program begins promptly at 11:00 AM and lasts for approximately 30 minutes.
Shared Space: Kidsville at the Parthenon shares space with Parthenon guests.
Registration: Registration is required and may be done online in advance or at the Parthenon beginning at 10:30 AM. We highly recommend registering in advance to skip the line and make your entry smoother.
Check-In: Depending on the weather, check-in might be outside. Just follow the signs, and we'll be there to welcome you.
