Kidsville at the Parthenon

Come learn about the ancient Greek discovery of the need for a Leap Day and see a replica of the Antikythera Mechanism, an ancient device that could calculate the dates of future planetary events like eclipses and the earth’s trip around the sun, then make art inspired by Leap Day

Join us for Kidsville at the Parthenon on Saturdays in February. Families with children ages 12 and under can register in the lobby beginning at 10:30 AM, and children will immediately be able to participate in activity & craft stations located upstairs. Weekly storytelling or special guest programming will begin promptly at 11 AM in front of Athena. Kidsville attendees must register before 11:20 AM to receive free Parthenon admission. (Avoid the line: Please complete this registration form online in advance. Entry time for pre-registered attendees remains 10:30 - 11:20 AM.)
