Join us for Kidsville at the Parthenon each Saturday from 11-11:45 AM in July. Families with children ages 12 and under can enter the Parthenon for free on these dates and times. A Kidsville team member will be taking registrations at the entrance of the Parthenon. We will be located upstairs in Parthenon's Naos room that houses Athena.
JULY ACTIVITIES
July 3 - Explore the book, “Blue Sky White Stars” by Sarvinder Naberhaus as our friends from Imagination Library read us the story. Pick up a star sewing craft kit to take home to continue the fun.
July 10 - Learn all about underwater archaeology and the Antikythera Mechanism, a device found on the ocean floor that may be the first computer. Pick up an activity kit to take home and practice underwater archeology. After Kidsville, tour the Parthenon’s exhibit to learn more about the incredible Antikythera Mechanism.
July 17 - Dive into the Greek Myth of Hydra with Kidsville, and the important summertime word that comes from it, hydration. Take home an activity kit to create your own “Hydra” art.
July 24 - Read our featured Storybook Walk book, “Pete the Cat, I Love My White Shoes” by Eric Litwin with Kidsville! Activity kits will be available to take home to create shoe art as featured in the book.
