Join us for Kidsville at the Parthenon on Saturdays in July. Families with children ages 12 and under can register in the lobby beginning at 10:30 AM, and children will immediately be able to participate in activity & craft stations located upstairs. Weekly storytelling or special guest programming will begin promptly at 11 AM in front of Athena. Kidsville attendees must register before 11:20 AM to receive free Parthenon admission. (Avoid the line: Please complete this registration form online in advance. Entry time for pre-registered attendees remains 10:30 - 11:20 AM.)
JULY SCHEDULE
July 1 - Kidsville at Parthenon - Come for an exploration of the book, Ice Cream Face, by Heidi Woodward Sheffield, with Imagination Library, then make art inspired by the book and Parthenon exhibits.
July 8 - Kidsville at Parthenon - Come listen the Greek myth of Helios and the sun, then make sun catcher art.
July 15 - Kidsville at Parthenon - Come learn about how artifacts are found, studied and cared for with Parthenon Registrar & Assistant Curator Bonnie Seymour, then make art with stamps from the shapes of artifacts the Parthenon preserves.
July 22 - Kidsville at Parthenon - Come hear the story of how the original Parthenon of Athens and the replica Parthenon of Nashville have histories of reuse and recycling to become something new - like an empty box that is so fun to play with in many ways, then make your own recycled box art.
July 29 - Kidsville at Parthenon - Come hear the Greek myth of the birth of Athena and someone who swallowed a fly, then make birthday inspired art.
