February Kidsville at the Parthenon

Join us for Kidsville at the Parthenon on select Saturdays in February from 11-11:45 AM. Families with children ages 12 and under can enter the Parthenon for free on these dates and times. A Kidsville team member will be taking registrations at the entrance of the Parthenon beginning at 10:30 AM. We will be located upstairs in Parthenon's Naos room that houses Athena unless otherwise noted.

FEBRUARY SCHEDULE

February 5: Read the book, The Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats with Imagination Library, then pick up a take-home kit to sew a pocket like Peter’s snow-filled pocket in the book.

February 12: Celebrate the links of love that we have with one another as we explore the art and stories of the Kindred Links exhibit in the Parthenon. A take home craft kit to create a valentine and puppet inspired by Omari Booker’s art will be available.

February 19: Learn about the Ancient Greek origins of the Olympic Games, then pick up a take-home kit for some Winter Olympic Games fun at home.

February 26: Explore an invention that was created in February, the same year as the 1897 Centennial Exposition. Learn how a businessman, Alfred L. Cralle, invented the ice cream scoop. Take-home kits to create your own ice cream and Centennial Park art will be available.
